solutions for our
Different markets require customized solutions.
Years of expertise, the highest precision and short lines of communication help create steering systems that always perform as desired – regardless of industry or continent.
What began in 1964 with the development and production of hydraulic elements in Parchim (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) is today a global company with 230 employees. Renowned German and international customers on all continents depend on the products and services supplied by Hydraulik Nord Fluidtechnik. Hydrostatic steering units, valves for steering systems and components for internal gear pumps and vane pumps are produced on a in a shop-floor area of more than 8,000 square meters.
The company is continuously expanding its distribution network in order to meet the high requirements for the development, production and distribution of its steering systems in the future. The primary focus is on North America and the dynamic growth markets in China and India. The establishment of Hydraulik Nord Corporation with a location in Chicago has provided our North American customers with a local contact. In addition, the company supports the hiring of professionals through cooperation with universities in the fields of technology and engineering. Development of new technologies for vehicle components
New steering systems for autonomous driving - Hydraulik Nord Fluidtechnik researches together with the University of Rostock
Together with the University of Rostock, the HNF is researching new technologies that will decisively advance the future topic of autonomous driving. Three chairs of the University of Rostock are involved in the joint research project "Active steering systems in a modular structure for different vehicle types" - the chairs of transmission and drive technology, fluid technology and microfluid technology as well as technical mechanics/dynamics.
As part of the overall project, a new type of active steering system is to be developed, which differs from previous solutions in that it can be adapted modularly to a wide variety of vehicle topologies. Such a steering system not only makes it possible to create customer-specific solutions more cost-effectively and quickly, but also to significantly improve the steering characteristics of these.
